Welcome to Ladysmith Primary School
Ladysmith Primary School is located on the traditional territory of the Stz’uminus people, near the beautiful Salish Sea. Our school community takes pride in honouring this land and its rich history as we learn and grow together.
We are fortunate to have an exceptional team of educators and support staff who bring dedication, expertise, and heart to their work each day. Together, we foster a culture of care and collaboration where students feel valued and supported.
At the heart of Ladysmith Primary is a joy in learning. Our school-wide expectations, ROARS (being Responsible, Open, Adaptable, Respectful, and Safe) guide how we learn and interact every day. ROARS helps us build a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where students can take risks, grow, and succeed.
Guided by the Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools’ Strategic Plan, we are committed to:
- Student and employee wellness – creating a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for all.
- Student success – helping every learner thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Truth and reconciliation – building meaningful relationships and weaving Indigenous perspectives and knowledge into daily learning.
Ladysmith Primary is more than a school, it’s a caring community where students, staff, and families learn, connect, and grow together; always keeping ROARS at the center of who we are.
